Travel and Lodging Information


The 2020 MACBS Meeting will be held at William & Mary on Saturday 24 October-Sunday 25 October 2020.

Traveling to Williamsburg:

By air: Newport News/Williamsburg, Richmond, and Norfolk are the three closest airports. Newport News (the closest airport) has direct flights to Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Atlanta, while Richmond and Norfolk both serve a much greater number of locations.

By train: The Williamsburg Amtrak station is located right downtown about a ten minute walk from campus. Trains go to Richmond, Washington D.C., and points further north.

Parking on the campus of William & Mary is free on weekends.

Group rate is $62 per night for a room with one king bed and $71 per night for a room with two queen beds, and $114 per night for a one bedroom suite (before taxes).

This hotel is a 20 minute walk from campus and accessible by public transit. It is further away from the historic district but quite affordable.

Williamsburg also has an abundance of other hotels, including many B&Bs.  Some of the centrally-located options that might be worth exploring are the Williamsburg Lodge, Griffin Hotel, and the Fife and Drum Inn.
